Because Mummy's Vacuum is much better than my own toys.....

It stands to reason that we have a house full of lovely toys and the best one has to be the vacuum that I'm currently trying to use!  Bless my little Berries, they are just trying to help, although I suspect it could be a pocket money making ploy for the eldest Berry....

So I give them the vacuum and they 'help' it's all good life experience.  I've come across this vacuum, (Casdon Numatic Little Henry Toy Vacuum Cleaner).

I'm thinking it might make an excellent Christmas present for the youngest Berry, apparently it actually sucks light paper up - genius.  Although I have to wonder if he'll still prefer my hoover on the basis that I'm using it...strong possibility.

Felt Hearts

Decided to try and make some felt heart gift tags for the extra special people in my life this Christmas.

I've not sewn for years - just watched a YouTube video to remind myself how to do blanket stitch - what could possibly go wrong?!

I'm wondering if these go okay that I could make some to raise funds for my local Pre-school....hmmm I'll see how they turn out first!

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

I knew that afternoon nap was a mistake...

My littlest Berry (he's nearly 4) had a little afternoon snooze today.  I thought it was a mistake at the time, so here we are, gone midnight and he's still going strong....

We've tried it all, our bedtime routine, stories (lots of), some classic music, the routine (again), more stories...actually, now I've given up, he's not unhappy, crying or screaming, just very very awake.

Littlest Berry is currently dressed as 'pirate Spiderman' in his Spiderman costume with, you guessed it, a pirate hat.

I can't see sleep happening anytime soon, but hey, he's happy and I won't be letting him fall asleep tomorrow afternoon, that's for sure!

Wellies Rock!

We've sat on a waiting list for just over two years, finally we've been offered an allotment.  It's a little half size plot, just right for us, but boy does it need work.  I was going to join a gym but with the amount of digging needed I don't think I'll bother!

We grow a few vegetables and fruit in our back garden, I have no idea how this 'allotment plan' will work out, but the little Berries seem excited.  They have their own little areas that we've managed to clear, so far they've found a lizard, mouse, frog, spiders, worms...you get the idea.  Muddy wellies are ESSENTIAL.  Wish us luck....
It's mainly about the advent calendars...a few days back I thought I'd be super organised (having ran around the shops like a lunatic last year trying to get an advent calendar at the last hour), I bought a couple of chocolate advent calendars for my two boys.

Cries of 'but I had that one last year' and 'I don't want Octonauts'....sigh....

To be fair my two little Berries don't usually want for much and I'd firmly put my foot down on one of those expensive Lego Advent Calendars that are around, so they get their own way and a couple of new calendars were purchased.

Said to DH - what should we do with the other two?  He said we should have them - after all we haven't had our own advent calendar's for years!  I baggsie The Simpsons...
